Remote work tools every beginner should know
Most remote teams use the same small set of tools. Learning them before your first day makes you look prepared.
For messaging, teams use Slack or Microsoft Teams. For video calls, Zoom and Google Meet are common. Tasks are tracked in tools such as Trello, Asana or Jira, and documents live in Google Docs or Notion.
Learn the basics of each: how to create a task, share a file, set your status and mute notifications. Free accounts let you practise on your own.
Also know how to use a password manager and two-step login. Protecting company accounts is part of being trusted with remote work.
