How to set up a home office on a small budget

A good workspace does not need expensive furniture. Start with the three things that affect you daily: a chair that supports your back, a desk at the right height and enough light.

Put your screen at eye level, using a stack of books or a cheap laptop stand if needed, and use an external keyboard and mouse so you are not hunched over. These small changes prevent neck and wrist pain.

Reliable internet matters more than anything else. Place your router close to your desk, use a cable if you can, and keep a phone hotspot as a backup for important calls.

Finally, separate work from home as much as your space allows. Even a corner with a clear boundary helps your mind switch into work mode and out of it again at the end of the day.
